I'll share with you what it meant to me. The day Elvis died it was as if a family member had passed away. I would imagine many people felt the way I did for a man who, although troubled toward the end, gave his all and spread so much love in this world through his music. For weeks after, I remember radio stations paying tribute to his legacy by playing his music and one in particular, "In The Ghetto" stood out to me as his greatest and most touching song ever. RIP, Elvis.

Elvis Aron Presley
Born January 8, 1935 in Tupelo, Mississippi
Died August 16, 1977 in Memphis,Tennessee
"Cardiac arrhythmia" was initially blamed as the cause of Presley's death, but it was later found that the Presley family and autopsy physicians Dr. Eric Muirhead Dr. Jerry T. Francisco, and Dr. Noel Florredo covered up the actual cause of death. Cardiac arrhythmia can only be diagnosed in a living person, not post mortem during an autopsy.
The truth is, an autopsy revealed Elvis died with significant amounts of Codeine and Quaaludes in his body among traces of many other drugs. Elvis had been to the dentist the day before, and it is speculated that Elvis may have died from an adverse reaction to the Codeine prescribed by his dentist for pain after having a temporary crown put in his mouth.
Presley was initially buried next to his mother at Forest Hill Cemetery, Memphis,
but after an attempt to steal the body both his and his mothers remains were transferred to the Meditation Gardens of Graceland where they remain to this day.
Elvis died looking forward to having in his own words, "His best concert tour ever."
